How it works

  1. Type a word

    Use the on-screen keyboard or your physical keyboard. No word can be reused in a round.

  2. Watch the snake move

    Each letter advances the snake one cell. The letters U D L R also steer it — the snake follows your spelling.

  3. Eat fruit to score

    Apples respawn. Rarer fruit appears only when you pull off clever word combos.

  4. Don't crash

    Hit a wall or yourself and it's game over.

Unlock secret fruit

Good words score points. Clever word choices spawn rare, high-value fruit.

  • Apple — 10 pts

    Appears randomly on the grid. The bread and butter.

  • Cherry — 50 pts

    Submit a palindrome (racecar, level, civic…). Reading the same forwards and backwards rewards you.

  • Banana — 75 pts

    Submit three words in a row whose first letters are directly consecutive in the alphabet — like A, B, C or L, M, N.

  • Star Fruit — 100 pts

    Submit a word that is the antonym of your previous word. Hot → Cold. Love → Hate.

  • Golden Apple — 200 pts

    A single word causes three or more valid direction changes. Master the steering to unlock the jackpot.
